Third Lockdown in London and feeling blue
Gosh, I haven’t blogged in over a year and I was actually so unsure of even renewing the website all together. I wasn’t sure it’s worth my annual £114 a year for two reasons: I have nothing new to say or to add and my life is going on a different direction. I worked on this website for five years sharing my travels and hoping to turn this into a business, but it is really hard. Travel blogging is like the acting industry in a way and only a few make it all the way. Plus, I already have so much on my plate with my art blog, paint making website and just the Covid life in general. Buttt, I did feel a bit sad and scared about completely cancelling this website, so here I am for another year at least.
London is currently under the third lockdown and all I can think of is the smell of the sea and the sound of the weaves. I am not sure when travel is happening agin. I was actually SO good in 2020 in following the rules and I can count all the times I left the house for social purposes, so it’s been tough to continue being at home.
My regular outing has been Lidl, the supermarket hehe. I never shopped there before 2020 and omg allll that money I could have saved is crazy. Now, it’s my favourite place to shop and the local Lidl has a bakery and it’s so yum!
It would be nice to travel again that’s for sure, but I won’t do so until it’s safe. I don’t want to be the reason that could transmit covid to others and I am probably going to wait until my vaccine to get on a plane, so let’s see how it all goes. Some travel bloggers have been really brilliant in creating content still during covid and doing some creative videos and images at home, but I haven’t been in the right head space for that. I am stressed about money, about paper work, about rent and all the adult things.
I am also sad about Brexit and worried about my future in the UK and that’s not a very good start, BUT, let’s see what this year brings us. It would be nice to see my friends in real life again and to experience London coz paying London rent and not making the most of the city is it’s own stress lol.
Okay, I shall go back to my uni writing and watching married at first sight Australia. It’s so intense lol!
